Motorsports & Racing performance, driven by data

We help racing teams, private drivers and motorsport businesses extract measurable gains from telemetry, simulation and vehicle dynamics. Based in Glasgow, working with clients across the UK and Europe.

What we do

Four core disciplines that turn raw data into on-track results.

Telemetry analysis

We pull lap files from MoTeC, AiM, Bosch and Pi systems, then overlay driver inputs against vehicle response to find the tenths hiding in braking zones, corner entries and traction phases. Reports are delivered within 48 hours of each session.

Simulation and setup

Using seven-post rig correlations and lap-time simulation tools, we model spring rates, damper curves, anti-roll bar stiffness and ride heights before the car leaves the workshop. That means fewer wasted test laps and a stronger baseline from the moment the pit lane opens.

Driver coaching

Our coaches have worked in Formula 3, GT3 and touring cars. They sit with the driver, review video synchronised with data, and set clear targets for the next outing: brake marker shifts, throttle application points, steering angle corrections. Specific, measurable, personal.

Engineering consultancy

Need a race engineer for a one-off event or a full season? We supply experienced engineers who integrate with your existing crew, handle strategy calls, manage tyre allocation and liaise with scrutineers. Rates are per day or per weekend, with no long-term contract required.

Engineer adjusting telemetry equipment in a pit garage

Built around the paddock, not the boardroom

Ai Expert Dynamics started in 2019 when two race engineers grew tired of seeing privateer teams struggle with the same problems that factory squads solved years ago. The gap was not talent; it was access to proper data tools and analysis workflows.

We set up shop in Glasgow because the city sits within three hours of Knockhill, Croft and Oulton Park. Donington and Silverstone are a short flight or an overnight drive away. We attend roughly 30 race weekends a year across the British GT Championship, Britcar and club-level single-seater series.

Our team today is five people: three engineers, a data scientist who previously worked in Formula E battery modelling, and an operations coordinator who keeps logistics from falling apart. Small enough to care about every client. Large enough to run two cars at the same event without compromise.

We measure success by lap time improvement, consistency gain (standard deviation of lap times across a stint) and podium conversion rate. In 2024, clients working with us improved their qualifying pace by an average of 0.7 seconds per lap compared to the previous season.

What our clients say

Real feedback from drivers and team managers we have worked with.

"They found 0.4 seconds in my braking zone at Brands Hatch that I had been leaving on the table for two seasons. The overlay comparison made it obvious."

Callum Rennie

Ginetta GT5 driver, 2024 season

"Having their engineer on the pit wall changed our race-day decisions completely. Tyre strategy calls were based on actual degradation curves, not guesswork."

Sarah Liddell

Team manager, Prism Racing (Britcar)

"The pre-event simulation package saved us an entire test day at Snetterton. We arrived with a setup window that needed only minor damper tweaks."

David Okoro

Formula 4 entrant, 2023–2024
